ABOUT ME

The First Sentence Reader
Call me Fred. I am a retired librarian from The Ohio State University and an avid, yet selective and highly judgmental reader who is under no illusion a book will get better in its writing style, plot, or characters after a disappointing first few sentences. However, the books profiled in this blog are, in every way, wonderful reads.
